Some would say Florida is the skydiving capital of the world.
Many dropzones and highly experienced instructors, offering every possible training for advancement, and all the major skydiving gear manufacturers are based there.
Most dropzones with a large number of fun jumpers are located about one to two hours from Orlando.
Weather
Florida is mostly tropical – lots of sunshine, and even when it rains, showers usually pass quickly. On the other hand, it’s also unpredictable – rain can appear suddenly. There are also hurricane seasons and strong winds, so it’s recommended to check the weather often and get advice about the best season to visit. People jump there all year round, but we especially love spring! 🌸
Dropzones we recommend (personally tested)
It’s always best to arrange your visit in advance and confirm activity. The dropzones are very responsive by email or social media.
Notes – A very high-level dropzone, with many training camps throughout the year. A good gear store and a bar with a large selection of beers. :)
Notes – One of the places with a lot of fun jumpers, evening hangouts at the bar or by the campfire, and many people staying at the dropzone with their campers. They have a pretty well-equipped gear store and quite a few events during the year!

Factory tours 🪂
If you’re already in Florida – don’t miss a tour of one of the rig and canopy manufacturing facilities. It’s an amazing experience, at least once, to see behind the scenes of the equipment we jump with:)
Important tip
If you don’t have a US license – it’s highly recommended (and at some dropzones even required) to join the USPA as a temporary member. This will also give you third-party liability insurance. You can join for a short period; it doesn’t have to be for a whole year.
